IAMRA is pleased to announce its next webinar: The Medical Regulator’s Role in Cultural Safety and Health Equity This event will take place on August 6, 2020 at 10:00 am Greenwich Mean Time (5:00 am Central time - US).


This webinar was inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, which quickly grew into a global phenomenon. Our speaker and panelists will look at the role of medical regulators in ensuring that people of all races and cultures have equal access to care and treatment, as well as examining subconscious biases that may be entrenched in regulatory processes.


The webinar will be chaired by Mrs. Joan Simeon, Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Council of New Zealand who will also join the Panel.  The lead speaker will be Dr. Curtis Walker, Chair of the Medical Council of New Zealand.  The other Panelists will be Dr. Bryant A. Murphy, President of the North Carolina Medical Board (US) and Dr. Kgosietsile Letlape, President of the Health Professions Council of South Africa and Chair of IAMRA.


There is no fee to attend this webinar, but you must register ahead of time.
