Message from the Chair

Dear Members, Partners, and colleagues,

IAMRA Symposium 2024 – Save the date!

We are excited to announce that we are hosting a one-day, in-person IAMRA Symposium on Friday 20 September 2024. The symposium will be held immediately after, and at the same location as, the Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation’s Annual Educational Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. We are very grateful to our CLEAR colleagues for working closely with us to facilitate this. It means that you will have the option of attending both the CLEAR conference (September 16-19) and the IAMRA symposium if you wish. These meetings will be offered at discounted rates for those who attend both.

The symposium will focus on the topic of artificial intelligence (AI). We will consider the role of the medical and health practitioner regulator when AI is used by healthcare providers and in particular, we will discuss issues of ethics and accountability. In addition, we plan to discuss areas of our work where AI could support our regulatory role and functions.
