IAMRA eNews February 2026

Message from the Chair

Dear Leaders and Colleagues,

Gong Hay Fat Choy! IAM

RA wishes all of our members and partners a prosperous year of the Horse.

Through your active participation in IAMRA, you are strengthening global patient safety. But we can do more.

Recent international investigations have shown gaps in cross‑border information sharing among regulators. As a result, some physicians with serious sanctions have moved between jurisdictions undetected.

IAMRA’s Physician Information Exchange (PIE) database is a practical and effective solution.

Since June 2025, we have seen an 86% increase in member organisations actively using PIE, alongside a 14% rise in submissions. These gains are significant and encouraging. However, participation remains uneven across our global community. This presents an opportunity to further our collective mission and shine a light on the important work of medical regulation.

We challenge every IAMRA member to:

  • Query PIE as a routine part of your registration and licensing processes, and
  • Submit data on physicians with major sanctions or fraudulent applications.

Every search and every submission strengthens global public protection.

For more information on registering for and using the PIE platform, please contact Sarah Heermans, Director of Operations, via sheermans@iamra.com.

Reminder: complete the membership survey

Your voice is essential in shaping IAMRA’s future. Our biennial Membership Survey closes on March 3, and I am asking every member and partner organisation to share your insight and directly inform our strategic planning, program development, and priorities. To ensure IAMRA’s work reflects what matters most to you, we need feedback from throughout our global community.

Please take the survey via this link:

When you reach the final page, be sure to click “Done” so your responses are submitted.

Thank you for helping to guide IAMRA’s direction and strengthen our collective impact.

Warm Regards,

Nicole Krishnaswami, JD
