Dear Leaders and Colleagues, 

IAMRA Support Fund

On behalf of the IAMRA Board of Directors, I am pleased to share exciting news: the Medical Council of Ireland (MCI) has made a generous €10,000 contribution to the IAMRA Support Fund.

Following the success of the 2025 conference in Dublin, this gift will directly support regulators from Category 1 and 2 countries in attending future IAMRA events. By reducing financial barriers, we ensure that colleagues from every corner of the globe can participate fully in our shared mission.

As regulators, we each play a vital role in advancing global patient safety. Whether through financial contributions, active engagement in the Physician Information Exchange (PIE), or collaboration on common priorities, every effort strengthens our collective mission.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Medical Council of Ireland for their leadership and generosity. We also encourage all IAMRA members to consider how your organization might help build a more inclusive, connected regulatory community. Together, we are stronger.

Membership Survey

Thank you to all Members and Partners who participated in our recent IAMRA membership survey. We were delighted with the strong level of engagement.

Respondents identified several key regulatory priorities, including:

• AI accountability
• Doctors’ health and wellbeing
• Telemedicine
• Improving regulatory systems
  

Comments underscored the rapid growth of AI, pressures faced by smaller councils, the need for support with telemedicine regulation, and opportunities to strengthen complaints handling and data analytics.

We were especially encouraged to see overall satisfaction with IAMRA continues to rise: 50% of respondents reported that IAMRA is exceeding their expectations—up from 26% in 2024 and 11% in 2023. Suggestions for continued improvement included deeper member engagement, increased support for smaller councils and travel scholarships, and more frequent webinars.

We look forward to sharing a detailed summary of the survey findings and our planned follow-up actions in the coming months.
